Study of Urban Public Transportation Fares

The assignment focused on a comprehensive assessment of urban public transportation fare structures, including a review of existing pricing mechanisms, affordability considerations, and policy alignment across different jurisdictions. The study provided analytical insights to support more effective, equitable, and sustainable fare-setting practices.

The engagement was successfully delivered and concluded with the facilitation of a focused mini workshop, bringing together representatives from Transportation Offices of several local governments. The workshop served as a platform for knowledge exchange, validation of key findings, and discussion of strategic recommendations, fostering alignment and shared understanding among stakeholders.

We are assigned to provide consultation services below: • Prepare studies related to transportation economics and urban transportation analysis • Provide assistance in developing calculation methods and developing handbooks and guidelines • Developing fare calculations for pilot cities • Providing assistance to Client in meetings related to work with GIZ (Service User) • Supporting project management, including but not limited to monitoring work schedules and work quality
